Camp Lejeune Toxic Water Cases: What You Should Know (2022)
Show Notes

If you or a loved one lived or worked at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina between 1953 and 1987, it is imperative that you listen to this podcast.

Something huge happened in Washington recently that will affect hundreds of thousands of veterans and their families, and you deserve to know about it. Here is what is happening:

  • Recently, President Biden signed a bill that will allow military personnel and their families that were exposed to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune to bring new claims for compensation.

  • The government knowingly allowed over 1 million Camp Lejeune residents and workers to drink contaminated water for decades, resulting in toxic exposure that led to cancer, birth defects, and other tragic injuries.

  • Now, qualifying individuals are eligible to receive compensation for their injuries caused by the toxic water at the military base.

  • Qualifying individuals include veterans, family members, non-military (civilian) workers, contractors, and any other person who lived or worked at the base for at least 30 days between August 1, 1953, and December 31, 1987.

For families who have suffered illnesses like cancer or birth defects after living or working at this Marine Corps base, the Camp Lejeune Justice Act is groundbreaking and well overdue.

As injury attorneys with decades of experience in this field, it is extremely rare to see this level of compensation and acknowledgment made available to our military members who truly deserve it.

Our desire is for every single person who suffered due to the toxic water at Camp Lejeune to have their story heard and receive the compensation they deserve for what they have been through.

Right now, our team at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers is helping several Camp Lejeune families throughout Virginia and North Carolina, but we know there are many more who are eligible.

If you or anyone you know has been affected by the toxic water at Camp Lejeune, please give us a call for a free consultation at 757-333-3333. We are ready to answer your questions and determine whether you have a case.
