I was on my way to a meeting at church. Stopped to make a left turn and was hit from behind by a run driver. He bounced off the back of my car, went across the road, into the across the street in their yard, and then promptly took off from there. I was in shock pretty quick because there was no lead up. There was no screeching of tires or anything like that. It was just bang. I felt both of my shoulders hurting and my neck stiffen up. My lower back started to hurt. But then I was going into shock pretty quickly. I was uh I could feel my heart beating really fast. I felt numb all of a sudden, which I think was kind of a kind of a gift because things hurt later a lot. I was uh at the time I was an elementary arts school teacher in Baysai. And um I since retired, but uh that was you know it was in November and it was still school year, so um yeah, that was my first thought was what am I gonna do for classes? Another lawyer recommended um Cooper Hurley. Uh came with a very high recommendation from him, so we need to go home. I felt at ease. Um I knew there was a lot going on, there was gonna be uh doctors' bills, hospital bills, the car getting fixed, who's doing this, dealing with insurance companies. They were telling, you know, helping us with what we needed to do, um, advising us in certain things, and then of course dealing with the insurance companies, uh we wouldn't even know where to begin to deal with that.
